FLORIDA MEDIATOR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN THIS COURSE


Topics covered in this course include Mediation Skills, Effective Negotiation Techniques, Standards of Professional Conduct for Mediators, Florida Family Law, Financial Issues in Divorce, Court Process, Domestic Violence, Interpersonal Communication Skills, etc.  All course participants are given the opportunity to participate in a number of mediation roleplays and will serve as a mediator in one roleplay and as a mediation participant in other roleplays.

FAMILY MEDIATION CERTIFICATION TRAINING


The Florida Supreme Court certifies family mediators to mediate a variety of family disputes which may include divorce (dissolution of marriage), annulment, support unconnected with dissolution of marriage, paternity, child support, parenting plans for a minor children, proceedings for temporary or concurrent custody of minor children by extended family, adoption, proceedings for emancipation of a minor, declaratory judgment actions related to premarital, marital, or post-marital agreements, injunctions for protection against domestic, repeat, dating, and sexual violence, and stalking, and all proceedings for modification, enforcement, and civil contempt of these actions.
