FLORIDA MEDIATOR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The Florida Supreme Court has established specific requirements for mediator certification which can be found at How to Become a Certified Mediator.  While there are some exceptions for individuals with a bachelor's degree, the requirements generally provide that a Master's Degree or higher is needed.  Degrees such as M.A, M.S., Ph.D., J.D., M.D., Ed.D., LL.M from accredited institutions around the world are generally accepted regardless of the specific area of study. If you have not already done so, we highly recommend you review the specific mediator certification requirements for the area of certification you desire and confirm your eligibility for certification asap.

COURSE MATERIALS AND REQUIRED READING

For our mediation certification courses, we typically make course materials available online about two to three weeks before the course begins. In addition, we provide a hard copy of all required course materials which you should receive on or before the first day of class. You are welcome to download all online mediation training materials we provide to you; however, we ask that you not publish or distribute the materials outside your office.

In our mediation certification courses, there is required reading which must be completed before you receive your course certificate.  However, course participants are not required to pass a written test in order to successfully complete the course.  Click her to learn more about Completing a Mediator Certification Course.
