Attorney Ellen Ware has been practicing law since 1985, has been a Board Certified Marital and Family Law Specialist since 1994, and has been practicing exclusively in the area of marital and family law since 1987. She is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator. Ellen received her J. D. from Cornell Law School in 1984, and her A.B. in Economics from Vassar College in 1981.
Ellen mediates family law matters, and also represents clients in family law matters in several forums, using a variety of strategies ̶ including collaborative law, traditional litigation, limited scope representation, appeals, and mediated settlements. She is on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Academy of Collaborative Professionals, recently co-chaired the organization, and has co-chaired the Collaborative Law Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association. She is a member of the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and is a frequent speaker on collaborative practice and conflict resolution. She is also member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and its Florida Chapter. She is a member of the Florida Bar Family Law Rules Committee, Collaborative Forms subcommittee.
Ellen’s many years of zealous advocacy in adversarial court-based proceedings have helped her appreciate the value of helping divorcing individuals select and utilize a process and strategy that align with their individual goals and interests.
